When he’ll come? In fact, Sons of the Forest was supposed to be out in October 2022 after a delay. But the team failed to comply with that either, which is why they are now aiming for February 2023.
Starfield

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

How does the Open World work? We don’t know exactly yet, because Rocksteady is still withholding information on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League so far. What is clear, however, is that we find ourselves alone or with up to three friends in Metropolis as the Suicide Squad chaos troop. The mission? Kill the Justice League, because Superman, The Flash and Co. have gone mad and are attacking humanity. The first gameplay trailer at least shows that the pace of the game will be pretty fast and is somewhat reminiscent of Sunset Overdrive.
For who? Clearly for comic book fans who are already familiar with Rocksteady’s Arkham universe. Because even if Suicide Squad is set in Metropolis, according to the developers it belongs to its own game universe and the individual story contents of the previous Batman games must be continued. Also, Suicide Squad should be a draw for friends of co-op games.
When he’ll come? For now, there is no certain release date for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It was supposed to be released in the course of 2022 for both PC and console, but has since been postponed to 2023.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

How does the Open World work? InAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora it is possible to freely explore the homonymous planet Pandora from the perspective of a Na member vi. Suitable for whom? Of course, the Avatar game is based on the James Cameron movie and universe. However, you probably don’t need to know, because Avatar: Pandora’s Borders is supposed to tell an independent story. There are no real details yet, however.
When he’ll come? At the E3 announcement, Ubisoft announced that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be out in 2023. There is no exact release date yet. However, it will not be released simultaneously with the second Avatar film. The release in US theaters is scheduled for December 16, 2022.
Ark 2

Once again, it will be a survival sandbox with dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals that we can tame.
Suitable for whom? Dinosaur fans and survival buffs should put Ark 2 on their favorites list. The first part has now become a cult game and the sequel will surely bring new ideas and improvements.
When he’ll come? There is no concrete release date yet, Ark 2 was initially supposed to come out in 2022. In the meantime, a new date has been set: 2023. It will be released exclusively for PC and Xbox.

How does the Open World work? InTchiasi explores a tropical island with the heroine of the same name, which is based on the culture of New Caledonia. You jump and run in the different areas, you solve puzzles and you can even transform yourself into animals and objects thanks to the supernatural abilities of Tchia.
Suitable for whom? For players who want a different open-world experience than usual. Because in Tchia there is no real combat, but a colorful 3D platform awaits you, in which freedom of movement is to be written big.
When he’ll come? The still young development studio Awaceb had initially indicated 2022 as the release date. Meanwhile, Tchia has been postponed to early 2023.
Nightingale
( Genre: Action-Adventure – Developer: Inflexion Games – Platforms: PC – Release: 1st semester 2023) PC – Release: 1st semester 2023. Mid 2023)
For who? Although former Bioware developers are involved in Nightingale, the open-world game is aimed more at survival enthusiasts who have already had a lot of fun with Valheim. Solo players will potentially only be able to get their money to a limited extent.
When he’ll come? Nightingale was due to be released in Early Access in late 2022. However, nothing came of it, which is why it is now only slated for the first half of 2023.
Atomic Heart

How does the Open World work? At this point we have to be honest enough to say: I have no idea. There are always conflicting claims that Atomic Heart really has an open world. There are supposed to be several biomes, but it is not yet clear whether they will merge with each other. At least: on the product page (Steam) the developer clearly talks about an open world action RPG.
Suitable for whom? Imagine Falloute Bioshock throwing a nuclear bomb back and forth until one of them drops it (probably Fallout). The atomic explosion causes the molecules of the two to shatter, then assemble randomly and eventually Atomic Heart is in front of us. Atomic Heart promises to be an intense and utterly disturbing first person shooter that, like Bioshock, will make itself known thanks to its extraordinary graphics.
When he’ll come? As we all know, Atomic Heart did not arrive in 2021. 2022 did not make it either. The next target is Q1 2023.
Diablo 4
( Genre: Action RPG – Developer: Blizzard Entertainment – Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S – Release: 2023)
Suitable for whom? Diablo 4 is based on many innovations, but in many places it also wants to go back to the old days and borrow a lot from Diablo 2, which was just brought back to life with Diablo 2: Resurrected again. When he’ll come? There is still no release date for Diablo 4. After a 2022 release seemed possible for some time, Activision-Blizzard’s latest financial report made it clear that there will be nothing for the role-playing game. Action before 2023. As is almost understandable for a good open world, there are also several side activities, such as flying kites or cycling.
For who? For DokeV, you have to have a soft spot for a certain graphic style: The game is jarring, colorful and very over the top. But if you can handle it, you can expect a single player adventure with the Pokémon factor.
When he’ll come? This is the big question. Publisher Pearl Abyss has yet to release any concrete release date statements. Maybe as early as 2022, but maybe not before 2023.
Crimson Desert

How does the open world work? Crimson Desert offers what at first appears to be a fairly classic open world for the genre. On foot, on horseback, by canoe or even with a grappling hook, you explore a medieval fantasy world where you complete missions, fight enemies and collect new loot. Along the way, you can stop in villages and towns to sell items or talk to NPCs.
For who? Although Crimson Desert started out as a prequel to the online RPG, Black Desert Online is now a standalone game with its own background world – and a “single-player experience where decisions also have to be made.” In addition, there is a campaign independent multiplayer mode.
When he’ll come? Originally, the plan was to release Crimson Desert in late 2021 for PC and consoles. However, at the end of July 2021, the developers announced that the release would be postponed indefinitely to devote more time to the game. Since then, the Crimson Desert has gone silent.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

How does the Open World work? Like its iconic predecessor, the world of Bloodlines 2 will not be a continuous Open World, but will be made up of individual hubs. However, we can move as freely as possible. Not only do we wander the streets of Seattle at night, but we also explore the roofs of buildings or go down the sewers. The world offers as many facets as there are vampire clans that compose it.
Suitable for whom? The first Bloodlines is considered an RPG for enthusiasts. A title that had many quirks at the time of its release, but which still managed to capture the hearts of many players and become a cult. Whether the successor will be just as sharp remains to be seen. But if you are drawn to the allure of evil and appreciate vampires or dark fantasy as a setting, Bloodlines 2 shouldn’t disappoint you.
When he’ll come? Originally, Paradox wanted to release the vampire RPG in early 2020. Then a postponement to 2021 followed – and in the meantime there is no release date. The developer responsible was fired at the end of February 2021, and the vampire game now faces an uncertain future.
Assassin”s Creed: Mirage

How does the Open World work? With Assassin ”s Creed: Mirage is the first BC after Valhalla. But instead of an action RPG like the last three parts, Ubisoft wants to offer a more classic action-adventure game, which will likely be more geared towards the first Assassin’s Creed in its gameplay mechanics. As for the open world itself, however, Ubisoft is unlikely to change much from the established formula. Those who have not liked the move of the Assassin’s Creed series to an RPG can take another look at Mirage. Even the nostalgic will have bread for their teeth. After all, you can visit the Alamut fortress, which was your base in the first Assassin’s Creed.
When it comes out? Ubisoft currently only provides an approximate release date, 2023. However, since pre-orders have already begun, the product will likely be released very soon in the year, most likely in the first quarter.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

For who? If you like the age of gunpowder, then you might like Flintlock. For this he collides with some of the first firearms ever built. At the same time, it mixes its setting with fantasy, which is why magic can also be used.
When he’ll come? Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is expected to be released in early 2023. However, the developer has not yet specified an exact date.
Dune: Awakening

How does the Open World work? Dune: Awakening comes from the same creators who brought us Conan: Exiles. As a result, very similar gameplay can be expected. You have a completely open world on the desert planet Arrakis and you must first survive here. However, sandstorms play an important role in this regard. Not only are they dangerous, they also dynamically change the environment. For example, they can bury ruins beneath them or reveal wrecks that were thought to have been forgotten.
Suitable for whom? However, Dune fans have already set their sights on the game. But at the same time, survival fans should keep an eye on it too. Because with the scarcity of water, sandworms and spice as a drug to collect, Dune: Awakening offers a number of interesting gameplay mechanics.
When he’ll come? Dune Awakening doesn’t have a certain release date yet. However, it is very likely that we will see an Early Access release in late 2023. After all, the team has already had success with Conan: Exiles. What will happen to Beyond: Good & Evil 2?
Before Beyond Good & Evil fans had to wait 14 years for the official announcement of a sequel, now silence has returned for some time. Ubisoft’s sheer scale of unusual science fiction cities and spaceships amazed us. How Beyond Good & Evil 2 will proceed, however, is not yet known. When will it be released? When will Ubisoft reveal the most? We can only speculate.
At least the time would be ripe to find out more about the ambitious project and, above all, to get some impression on the finished game. At least we already know that Ubisoft intends to generate the universe procedurally. Similar to how the vast galaxy of No Man’s Sky was created. The gameplay focuses on multiplayer, as Beyond Good & Evil will be a shared world role-playing game in which we will meet space pirates, clones and talking pigs with mustaches.
