Dacia is hard at work on an ambitious product offensive. The popular cheap car brand has confirmed that, after the arrival of the expected Bisgter, it will focus on the launch of two new and mysterious models. We analyze the different options that are being considered.

The Renault Group has stepped on the accelerator of its transformation process. This very important colossus of the European automotive industry has presented to society the third phase of its strategic plan “Renaulution” . A presentation that has left us numerous headlines. Among the most notable is, without a doubt, the launch of Ampere, the electric vehicle division of the French automobile conglomerate. And in parallel, Power, the division dedicated to thermal and hybrid vehicles, has been presented. A division in which the Renault Group will collaborate closely with Geely.

Dacia, being part of the Renault Group, is no stranger to the established roadmap. Moreover, it is called to play a leading role. Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault Group, has given the main keys on how Dacia will face the changes that are coming with the aim of consolidating and improving its position in the market . In addition, a determining issue has been confirmed. The Romanian firm will continue to expand its range of models.

The progressive electrification of the Dacia range

At the moment Dacia already generates an operating margin of more than 10%. However, the objective for the year 2030 is to be able to increase this percentage until it reaches 15%. To achieve this goal, it will be necessary to expand the product offer and, above all, adapt to the changes that are taking place in the European automobile market with electrification as the protagonist.

At the same time that Dacia works to improve its operating margin, it will do the same to reduce costs . The brand is expected to benefit from the fact that the volumes on the CMF-B platform will double, which will reach 2 million units sold by the 2030 horizon. A platform on which Dacia is supporting its product offer.

Dacia will also help reinvent the thermal value chain through cooperation with the Renault Group’s Horse project by developing powertrains adapted to alternative and synthetic fuels. In the same way, it will progressively electrify its range in Europe, being, according to the company itself, a pioneer in the deployment of accessible electrical solutions.

The news of Dacia beyond the Bigster

To achieve this ambitious strategic plan, it is necessary to increase the product offer . In recent weeks, especially after Dacia passed through the 2022 Paris Motor Show, the possibility of the range being expanded with totally new models has been discussed. Well, it is now the company itself that confirms the arrival of new products on the market.

Dacia has confirmed that after the expected Bigster, it will launch two other models . But what kind of models? The brand has not gone into details so a whole range of possibilities opens up. It is well known that the Dacia Bigster will arrive sometime in 2025. And a year earlier, in 2024, the third generation of the Dacia Duster will do the same. The introduction of the successor to the Spring, Dacia’s first electric car, will also take place in 2024.

At this point we must remember the recent reports that point to the development of a new SUV that will burst onto the scene with the aim of taking the place of the incombustible Dacia Logan. An SUV located halfway between the Dacia Sandero Stepway and the aforementioned Duster. Nor should we rule out that the other novelty has to do with a completely new electric vehicle that is positioned in the range as the electric alternative to the Sandero.
