Endowed with the tagline “Inspired by Earth,” this Wraith draws its cues from more than just the Blue Planet. While the hood is adorned with an airbrushed scene of the Middle East seen from the skies, the overall aesthetic of this luxurious coupe is decidedly interplanetary.

Rolls-Royce is dangling another unique Wraith just out of reach, so far out of reach, you might even say it’s not of this world. If you’ve ever dreamed of shooting in your own private planetarium, well, one lucky Rolls-Royce customer in Dubai is about to live out your fantasy.

The first hints of this can be seen in the hand-painted solar system incorporated into the striped elements on the Wraith’s flanks.

“We are used to clients bringing us grand visions for their bespoke assignments, but this provided a whole new perspective. In our response to the assignment, we have worked both at a ‘macro’ level, referring to the Sun and the planets of the entire Solar System, and at a much more personal ‘micro’ level, focusing our vision of the world on the place that the client calls home,” said Rolls-Royce Bespoke chief designer Michael Bryden .

Hood art can be the highlight of a first impression, but if you ask us, Rolls-Royce buried one of the Wraith’s coolest touches pretty deep in its ad: an embroidered Solar System header, floating like a night sky magnified over the Earth themed elements of the cockpit surfaces.

“The seats are made of Moccasin leather to imitate the sands of the deserts of the Emirates; navy blue and cobalt blue accents suggest rivers and lakes and emerald green pipes symbolize nature in all its forms. Arctic white ‘RR’ monograms and stitching hint at clouds and translucent running water,” the ad reads.

The car’s Royal Blue paint color is inspired by water, an element that makes up 75 percent of our planet. It took 100 hours to finish the design, which was done using an airbrush. Although not visible in the photos, the profile line is hand painted Emerald Green, incorporating the Sun and the eight planets of the Solar System.

The result creates the impression of looking up at the skies from Earth, which sounds like a quiet cure for stopped traffic.

Rolls-Royce was a British luxury car and later an aero-engine manufacturing business established in 1904 in Manchester by the partnership of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. Building on Royce’s good reputation established with his cranes, they quickly developed a reputation for superior engineering by manufacturing the “best car in the world”. The business was incorporated as Rolls-Royce Limited in 1906, and a new factory in Derby was opened in 1908. The First World War brought the company into manufacturing aero-engines. Joint development of jet engines began in 1940, and they entered production. Rolls-Royce has built an enduring reputation for development and manufacture of engines for defence and civil aircraft.
