What are the next Marvel movies and TV series coming to theaters and on Disney +? It is a question that all fans of this gigantic franchise ask themselves periodically, to put their ideas in order and make plans. After all, there are more and more outings and it is time to organize yourself so as not to lose even one. For this reason we intervene, with a nice summary piece!
What are the next Marvel movies coming up?
This summer, the calendar for upcoming Marvel movies has been updated. At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, in fact, there were many announcements on the steps that the franchise will take in the months and years to come. The calendar has been decidedly fleshed out and now there are many titles already planned, to the delight of fans.
During the conference, the President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige unveiled all the titles that make up Phase 5 of the franchise and also hinted at some of the next one. Among the latter in particular he has unveiled two films dedicated to the Avengers , which will surely be the icing on the cake of this cycle.
In this regard, the announcement of the name that unites Phases 4, 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has also arrived. From now on we will refer to these with the name The Multiverse Saga , which then follows the so-called Infinity Saga which showed the long battle between the Marvel heroes and Thanos, precisely for the Infinity Gems.
In the following weeks, some more surprises arrived. Among these the official announcement first of Deadpool 3 (which will bring back Hugh Jackman in the role of Wolverine) and then of a postponement for Blade due to some production problems. This mixed things up a bit, calling some release dates into question.
In short, there are really many projects waiting for fans and ideas need to be reorganized. So let’s not delay and dive into the calendar!
The upcoming Marvel movies and TV series already confirmed
Let’s proceed in order, starting from the projects we already know a lot about , in particular the date (or at least the period) of release. There are in fact several shows and films that Marvel Studios have already unveiled when they debut, along with many other details (and sometimes even a trailer). So let’s start discovering these titles, with the diaries at hand so as not to make commitments on those weekends …
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
There is great anticipation for this second adventure dedicated to Black Panther, after the extraordinary success of the first chapter. After the disappearance of Chadwick Boseman , fans are wondering how the story will continue and how a possible passing of the baton will happen. And above all, there is great curiosity for the debut of Namor, one of the most historical Marvel characters ever. We will find out the truth in November!
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
Inspired by the Star Wars Christmas special, which has become a cult in its own way, not much is yet known about this festive adventure of Marvel space heroes. Probably in the coming months we will have more information on this project, whose debut is however expected on Disney + this Christmas. Who knows how they celebrate the holidays up there in space …
Launch period (expected) : Christmas 2022
What If…? (second season)
” The Multiverse is a concept we know extraordinarily little about, ” reads a famous line from Spider-Man: No Way Home . This series aims to remedy all this, leading us to the discovery of always different alternative universes. Everything always starts from a very simple question: “ What would have happened if…? “. And after the good reception of the first season, it’s time for a new journey into the Multiverse! There are doubts about the actual influence of this series on the Marvel Cinematic Universe , but when traveling between parallel universes a bit of confusion is always to be taken into account!
Launch period : early 2023
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Third installment in the adventures of Ant-Man and the Wasp, but potentially the most important for the entire franchise so far. We have known for some time that Kang the Conqueror will be featured in the film, played by Jonathan Majors . This villain could potentially be such a threat to involve all the Avengers… Maybe this is where a story will begin that will develop through all the next Marvel movies…

Secret Invasion
One of the unique abilities of the Skrulls is to be able to change their appearance. This makes them the perfect infiltrators, capable of hiding in the enemy ranks. In the comics this upsets the lives of all the heroes who no longer know who to trust. Will it be the same in this TV series? We’ll find out in a few months when we see Nick Fury return to action against these shape-shifting aliens.
Launch period : Spring 2023
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
After briefly reviewing them in Thor: Love and Thunder , it’s time to find this bizarre group of heroes. Still not much is known about this third adventure (whose release has been postponed due to the controversy over James Gunn , first fired and then recalled by Marvel Studios), but it cannot be ruled out that it will concern the search for Gamora … Certainly one of the next films Marvel’s most anticipated.

Echo
We met her in the TV series dedicated to Hawkeye, where she put a spoke in the wheel at the Avenger. However, this character’s history is definitely haunted and it’s not that easy to define his alignment. His ties to organized crime will be fascinating to explore in this first solo adventure of his.
Launch period : summer 2023
Loki (second season)
The final episode of the series dedicated to the God of Deception has upset everything . A sensational cliffhanger that has overturned all our beliefs. Above all, it overturned the idea that the series was destined to have only one season. The second will arrive in 2023 and judging by how the previous one ended, it could be very important for the future of the MCU.
Launch period : summer 2023
The Marvels
Kamala Khan, Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau. Three characters who in different titles have had Marvel in their nom de guerre. Now for the first time they will meet on screen, having debuted elsewhere. Already in the finale of Ms. Marvel we had a very small hint of this meeting, but it is still early to know everything about it. We will have to wait a few more months!

X-Men ’97
Shooting one of the most beloved superhero animated series of all time is definitely an interesting idea. And so, Disney + will soon debut a show that picks up where we left off the iconic adventures of the X-Men years ago. A journey into nostalgia on the one hand, which will also offer many exciting stories to live for all fans of the mutants. This series is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Launch Period : Fall 2023 on Disney +
Ironheart
Riri Williams is a heroine only recently introduced to Marvel comics, but she has quickly conquered a niche of her own fans. We will also meet her on the big screen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and from there she will then launch into an adventure of her own. The appointment is on Disney + about a year after his cinema debut.
Launch period : Autumn 2023
Agatha: Coven of Chaos
WandaVision introduced the mysterious witch Agatha Harkness to the world , leaving us to doubt until the end about her role in the adventures of Scarlet Witch. Also thanks to the interpretation of Kathryn Hahn she immediately became very popular among fans, so much so that she deserved a show of her all of her. There is still no information on what to expect from this series, but curiosity is already very high.
Launch period : Winter 2023-24
Spider-Man: Freshman Year
Ready to go back to Spider-Man origins ? In this animated series (which will not be canonical with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, attention) we will rediscover the early years of this hero’s high school. We will see him struggling with school and some of his most iconic enemies. Not only that, but there will also be appearances of Daredevil and who knows what other Marvel heroes. In short, truly unmissable. This series is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Launch period : 2024
Daredevil: Born Again
The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will not only be alongside this particular version of Spidey. After so many rumors we will finally see him again in a show all of him, aptly called Daredevil: Born Again . The series will see the return of both Charlie Cox as the protagonist and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin. It will be the longest Marvel show produced for Disney + so far – eighteen episodes!
Launch period : Spring 2024
Captain America: New World Order
After the long process that led him to take up the shield in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , Sam Wilson is ready to set out on his first full-fledged Captain America adventure to face the Chief , who will surprise return from one of the first film in the franchise, The Incredible Hulk. This film will debut towards the end of Phase 5 and it is hard to believe that it will not have any connection with the next Marvel films, particularly the one that follows it soon after…

Thunderbolts
In the comics this group includes a series of villains or heroes with very ambiguous morals called into high-risk missions. At D23, the official line-up of the Thunderbolts was announced, which will be led by Yelena Belova and will see Ghost, Red Guardian, Taskmaster, Bucky Barnes and US Agent, with Countess Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine overseeing everything. And who knows that Baron Zemo will not be able to re-emerge as well …
Blade
This item will be released on July 26, 2024
The Daywalker is about to return, in a whole new version. Announced in 2019 completely as a surprise, it will see Mahershala Ali take on the role of Blade to go hunting for vampires. A first hint of him being in the MCU came in the Eternals finale, but there is still a lot to discover about this character and how he will evolve in the franchise. Initially scheduled for 2023, it has been postponed for about a year, messing up Marvel Studios’ plans a bit.
This item will be released on September 6, 2024
Deadpool 3
After so many “We’re working on it, it will come” finally came the announcement of Deadpool ‘s debut film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And he will not be alone, because he will also bring with him Wolverine , played again by Hugh Jackman to the great surprise of the fans. Nothing more is known yet but this is enough to make it one of the most anticipated films of the entire franchise.
This item will be released on November 8, 2024
Fantastic 4
Finally, the most important superhero family in the Marvel world is ready to return to the big screen, this time in the MCU. Nothing is yet known about this film (which recently lost its first director Jon Watts) but it is certainly one of the most anticipated titles in the franchise. Meanwhile, fans are launching speculations about who could be the performers of these beloved heroes.
This item will be released on February 14, 2025
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty
From the earliest rumors of its introduction, fans have speculated that Kang the Conqueror would play a key role in the MCU, potentially as a major new threat at Thanos’ level. Well, judging by the title of the first Avengers movie in this Multiverse Saga , apparently the hypotheses were well founded. It will be no easy challenge for our heroes to manage.
This item will be released on May 2, 2025
Avengers: Secret Wars
The great closure of the Multiverse Saga could only lead there, to the Secret Wars . The clash between many different universes that, at least in comics, gives life to a patchwork world in which the status quo is completely overturned. It will be necessary to understand how much Marvel Studios will decide to remain faithful to the paper events, but one thing is certain: it will be an event on a gigantic scale .

The projects yet to be defined
It doesn’t end there though. There are still several shows and movies that have been announced (more or less definitively), but without too many details for the moment. Titles that will soon be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and of which we will discover everything only in the years to come. Let’s find out what awaits us, starting to make some assumptions about what will happen in the franchise …
Marvel Zombies
After having explored the concept in one of the most popular episodes of the first season of What If…? It’s time to fully step into the world of Marvel Zombies . A virus has infected the entire universe of superheroes, making some of them thirsty for blood. A reinterpretation of the classic zombie apocalypse in Marvel sauce. Ready to discover it?
Armor Wars
Announced long ago and initially conceived as a TV series, this film is one of the few projects missing from the San Diego Comic-Con 2022 announcements. At the center should be War Machine , accompanied by Ironheart , grappling with the possibility that the technology developed by Tony Stark falls into the wrong hands. In all likelihood, it will be one of the Phase 6 titles featured in the D23 announcements.
Spider-Man 4
There is currently no Spider-Man title among the upcoming Marvel movies , at least not in the main MCU. However, it is very difficult to think that we will not see Peter Parker again in some way, given the success of his latest adventures. Typically the announcements related to this character come from Sony Pictures and not from Marvel Studios, so perhaps confirmation could come later.
Wakanda
One of the least defined shows of all those apparently in the pipeline at Marvel Studios. We only know that it will be a project with Ryan Coogler (former director of both Black Panthers) at the helm, centered on the mysterious nation of Wakanda . Currently, this is basically the information, so we have to wait for further developments.
Young Avengers
Here we go into speculation , but not so much far-fetched. From several MCU projects there are clues that Marvel Studios are preparing to launch the Young Avengers in one of their upcoming movies or TV series. How the debut of this group will materialize is yet to be seen, but we are sure that information will arrive soon.
